Egg Bread Masala





Servings: 4 servings

Time Taken:  15-20 min

Ingredients:

Bread Slices- 5-6
Onoin -1 finely chopped
Tomato -1 finely chopped
Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder- 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder- 1/4 tsp
Egg -1
Oil- 2-3 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander – finely chopped

Directions:

1.Heat oil in a kadai, add onions and sauté it. 


2.Then add tomato, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt and cook for 2-3 mins


3.Add egg and scarmble it for a 1-2 mins


4.Cut the bread slices into small pieces 






5.Then add bread pieces and sprinkle some water, so that the masala mixes with the bread pieces


6.Garnish with coriander and Serve hot.

Akki Roti



 One more famous dish of Karnataka, Akki Roti. I can never get bored of Akki roti. Crispy ,Tasty and really easy to make.

Servings: 4 servings
Preparation Time: 10 min

Ingredients:
Rice flour - 2 cups
Cumin Seeds (Jeera) - 2 tsps
Onions - 2 finely chopped
Coconut grated - 1/2 cup
Salt - for taste
Water

Directions
1. In a large bowl add Rice Flour , jeera, onions , grated coconut and salt
2.Add warm water  to the mixture little by little ,mix well until the dough is soft and spreadable.
3.Leave the dough closed for half an hour.
4. Take a plastic sheet and grease it with some oil. Make a large ball (little bigger than a chapati ball)of dough and place it on the sheet and pat it until it is an evenly spread circle of 1/2 inch thickness.



5.Heat a Pan and place the plastic sheet down side and remove the sheet carefully.

6. Pour few drops of oil and roast on both the sides .Akki Roti is ready to serve.


Best with : Chutney of choice, Butter and sugar

Ragi dosa / Nanchini dosa




Ragi dosa / Nanchini dosa is simple and quick to make.It is a healthy dosa too as you know it is  good for diabetics. It controls your blood sugar level.

Serves: 2


Preparation Time: 10 min



Ingredients

Ragi / Nanchini flour - 1 cup
Wheat flour -2 Tbsp
Grated cocunut :1-2 Tbsp (optional)
Salt as per taste
Water

Directions

1. Add all the ingredients in a mixing bowl.Pour enough water to make a smooth batter.The batter should be little bit watery

2.  Heat a non stick tawa/ griddle. Pour a ladle of batter and spread it thin or thick as per your taste.

3. Drizzle some oil around the edges and cook for a minute. Flip and cook on the other side too.

4. Remove and serve hot.


Best with: chutney , sambar

Neer Dosa






Neer dosa is one of my favourite dosa's.Very famous in karnataka.With very few ingredients required ,it is really easy and quick to make. And goes well with coconut chutney, tomato chutney and non veg dishes also.

Serves: 4


Preparation Time: 10 min



Ingredients
Raw Rice: 2 cups (wash and soak for 3-4 hours)
Grated cocunut : 3-4 Tbsp
Salt as per taste
Water

Directions

1. Grind the soaked rice with coconut and water to a smooth batter.

2. Add salt and 2 cups water. It should be watery than other regular dosa.

3. Heat a tawa/ griddle. Pour a ladle of batter and tilt the griddle so that the batter can spread all sides. Cover the griddle and let the dosa cook for 2 minutes.

4. Remove the dosa transfer to a plate and then fold it to half after 20-30 seconds.These dosas have to be cooked from only one side.


Best with: coconut chutney, chicken sukka.
